US President Joe Biden began a two-day visit to Angola, focusing on a major infrastructure project to showcase US investment in Africa, where China has been increasing its influence. It is Biden’s first visit to Angola and his only visit to Africa since taking office in 2021, apart from attending COP27 in Egypt in 2022.
