Uzbekistan’s deputy Transport Minister announced that construction of the Uzbek section of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway will commence in October 2024. The railway corridor, spanning over 450 km, is expected to cost USD 8 bln and could transport up to 15 mln tons of cargo annually, further strengthening regional trade connections.
