India’s crude oil imports from Russia reached a new high since November, countering efforts by Western nations to curtail Moscow’s oil revenue through tightened sanctions. India, the third-largest oil consumer globally, imported 1.7 mln bpd from Russia in March, a 9% monthly increase, although still below the May peak of 2.2 mln bpd.
