Indonesia’s trade surplus declined to USD 1.31 bln in July, down from USD 4.22 bln in the same month a year earlier, as exports decreased by 18.03%, partly due to reduced commodity prices, while imports fell by 8.32%. From January to July 2023, the trade balance was at a surplus of USD 21.23 bln, with exports and imports decreasing by 10.27% and 6.71%, respectively.
