Malaysia trade surplus widened to 15.4 billion ringgit in May, up from 12.7 billion in the previous year. Exports fell by 0.7%, marking the third consecutive month of decline due to a decrease in sales of agricultural products. Imports dropped by 3.3%, mainly due to lower purchases of manufacturing products. The trade surplus for the January-May period narrowed to 92.4 billion ringgit, compared to 101.2 billion in the same period last year.
