Thailand pro-democracy parties have formed a coalition with a shared agenda, seeking to govern following their victory in the May 14 elections. However, the contentious issue of amending the lese majeste law, a key campaign promise of Pita Limjaroenrat’s Move Forward party, was omitted from the agreement. This omission indicates a willingness to compromise to form a government, easing market uncertainties. The coalition, despite its majority in the House of Representatives, still lacks the necessary support for Pita to become PM.
