Albania’s economy is projected to grow 3.5% in 2025 according to the IMF, and will continue to grow on average by this level in the 2024-2029 period. The fund said prudent fiscal policies have allowed for a reduction in public, while disinflation has been supported by monetary policy, falling commodity prices, and currency appreciation. It noted that structural challenges remain, including low per capita income levels, rapid aging, and emigration.
