Azerbaijan’s central bank left its key refinancing rate at 7.25%, the same level since May 2024. Inflation moved up to 5.4% in January, though still in line with the central bank target range. Further, Azerbaijan’s current account surplus shrank by 43% in 2024 to USD 4.7 bln, or 6.3% of GDP.
