Belarus’ central bank expanded the list of foreign currencies included in the basket used in exchange rate setting and decided to include the Chinese yuan with a share of 10%. The share of foreign currencies in the basket will now be as follows: the Russian ruble at 50%, the USD at 30%, the euro at 10%, and the yuan at 10%. Meanwhile, the country’s broad money supply, which includes cash in circulation and bank accounts of individuals and corporations, rose by 2.5% from 1 June. The volume of ruble money supply increased by 4% from 1 June.
