A consortium led by commodity trader Trafigura Group plans to invest up to USD 555 mln in a railway project connecting the Angolan port of Lobito to the neighboring DR Congo. The consortium, known as Lobito Atlantic Railways, will invest USD 455 mln in the Lobito Corridor—a 1,344 Km-long trade route—as well as up to USD 100 mln in a 400 Km railway line in Congo.
