In Kazakhstan, the world’s largest uranium producer, Kazatomprom, has obtained a new license for exploring a new block, the Inkai-Mynkuduk, in Turkestan. The state-owned miner said preliminary data showed resources of more than 20,000 tons. Last year, the company produced 23,270 tons. Further, the Kazakh parliament has ratified a Eurasian Economic Union agreement to allow payment of import duties in Russian rubles, for a period of two years, between members of the economic bloc.
