Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan dropped plans to offer Eurobonds this year. Instead, the budget deficit will be covered by borrowing in the domestic market. To date, the government has raised enough on the local market to meet 85% to finance the government’s deficit. Earlier, the idea was for the government to issue Eurobonds in Autumn. Kazakhstan has around USD 1.5 bln in outstanding 30Y Eurobonds, placed in July 2015.
