Kyrgyzstan will set new electricity tariffs on 1 May, roughly 24% higher than current levels, as the government endorses a new medium-term tariff policy for 2025-2030. The tariffs will rise by a smaller amount for households with lower consumption. Inflation softened slightly in March from the previous month, to a 6.9% annual rate, though up from 5.2% a year earlier.
