Fitch upgraded Mongolia’s rating to B+ with a stable outlook. The outlook comes on the back of a reduction in the country’s public and external debt burdens, increased FX reserves, and a booming mining sector. Fitch forecasts Mongolian growth of around 6% for 2024-2026. In response, Mongolia’s 2031 USD bond rose to the highest level in nearly two years.
