The Russian economy grew by 5.4% YoY in May, the best performance since January 2022. GDP growth was mainly driven by manufacturing, wholesale trade, and construction. Monthly, the GDP grew by a seasonally adjusted 1.4%. Meanwhile, industrial production in Russia increased by 7.1% YoY in May 2023, marking the third consecutive month of growth, following a 5.2% fall in the prior month.
