Tajikistan aims to generate 100% of its energy from renewable sources by 2023. Currently, hydropower plants generate 98% of the electricity in Tajikistan, which makes this energy renewable, according to President Ramon. Tajikistan ranks sixth in the world for green energy generation in terms of percentage.
