The AIIB approved USD 500 mln of financing for Tajikistan’s USD 6.4 bln Rogun hydropower project. The first phase of the loan will be USD 270 mln. This follows a World Bank announcement in December of a USD 350 mln grant to finance the Rogun project, which is meant to lead a pool of IFI financing.
