Ukraine said talks with the US in Saudi Arabia have started “constructively”, with a partial ceasefire being discussed. Western security officials have meanwhile commented that Russia is unwilling to compromise in peace talks, and that Putin has set “maximalist” demands on matters relating to territory, peacekeepers, and Ukraine’s diplomatic neutrality.
