EU nations are likely to support a proposal for a EUR 50 bln financing package for Ukraine, according to EU Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis. The funding will cover part of Ukraine’s current expenditure and fund urgent reconstruction projects, provided Ukraine fulfills reforms to improve the rule of law and address corruption. The World Bank has estimated that reversing the damage caused by Russian forces will cost about USD 411 bln over the next decade.
