Ukraine’s government is proposing its first tax increases since the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion, aiming to bolster its wartime budget. The proposed hikes, including increased taxes on fuel, tobacco, and new vehicle sales, are expected to generate an additional 500 bln hryvnia (USD 12.5 bln). These funds are intended to cover urgent military needs, with draft bills already submitted to the parliament for approval.
