US President Biden has authorized up to USD 375 mln in aid for Ukraine, focusing on defense articles, services, and military education through the Department of Defense. In addition, the US pledged to contribute USD 20 bln to a G7-led Ukraine aid package, contingent on the EU adjusting its Russian sanctions regime. The G7 had earlier agreed in principle to provide Ukraine with a non-refundable loan, using profits from USD 280 bln in frozen Russian central bank assets as repayment.
