Ukrainian president Zelensky delivered a speech at the ICC in The Hague during an unannounced visit to the Netherlands. He accused Russia of over 6,000 war crimes in April alone and argued that president Putin “deserves to be sentenced” for his “criminal actions” in a special court. In March, the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Putin on alleged war crimes charges. Meanwhile, Russia launched drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, accusing Ukraine and the US of orchestrating a drone attack on the Kremlin.
