Uzbekistan’s government signed several agreements with the US to explore critical and rare earth mineral deposits. This follows a memorandum of understanding signed in September last year. US Secretary of State Rubio has also met with Uzbek Foreign Minister Saidov to discuss cooperation in counter-terrorism, energy and mining. Meanwhile, a Chinese built wind farm in Uzbekistan has begun operating, which will be the largest in Central Asia, with annual expected output of 3 terawatt hours.
