In Q4 2022, Argentina recorded a current account surplus of USD 1.7 bln, the largest surplus since Q3 2021 and up from USD 291 million in the same period last year, driven by a faster increase in exports and a decline in imports. Meanwhile, the country’s unemployment rate decreased to 6.3% in Q4 2022, compared to 7.1% in the previous quarter. In the same period, the employment rate increased from 44.2% to 44.6%, while the labor force participation rate remained steady at 47.6%.
