Argentina trade surplus of USD 271 mln in March of the previous year turned into a trade deficit of USD 1059 mln due to surging inflation and sluggish growth, limiting the country’s exports. Exports decreased by 22.2% from the previous year to USD 5.72 bln, with sales of primary goods and agricultural products experiencing significant declines. Meanwhile, the country’s lower purchasing power led to a 4.2% decline in imports to USD 6.78 bln, with lower purchases for fuels and capital goods.
