The Bolivian labor union federation (COB) urged the government to nationalize petrol stations to ensure state oversight of strategic resources. Additionally, the COB advocated for extensive price controls, higher taxes on gold exports, and stricter FX regulations on exports, including mandatory surrender of export proceeds in the official market, a move that met significant resistance from the private sector.
