Colombia inflation rate eased to 12.82% YoY in April, down from the prior month’s 24-year high of 13.34%, falling below market expectations of 12.96%, mainly driven by a deceleration in food prices. Consumer prices rose by 0.78% MoM in April, compared to a 1.05% increase in March and below the forecasted 0.9% growth.
