As of September 28, Colombia has sold bonds worth USD 8.49 bln this year, marking a 19% increase compared to the same period in 2022. However, the USD value of peso bond sales decreased by 12%. Local currency issuance is the lowest it has been since 2017. Meanwhile, Colombia’s manufacturing PMI slightly recovered to 47.8 in September, up from 46.8 in August. Lower demand hampered supplier and manufacturer prices for inputs and production for the fourth month while production declined slightly.
