Colombia’s trade deficit rose to USD 1.089 bln in May from USD 0.921 bln a year earlier, albeit showing improvement from a larger deficit recorded in the previous month. This increase was driven by a 2.2% YoY rise in imports to USD 5.536 bln, marking the second increase after seventeen months of consecutive declines.
