Costa Rica is planning to deepen its economic relationship with the US during an upcoming visit by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. As of late November 2024, Costa Rican exports to the US reached USD 8.53 bln, representing 46.5% of total exports. Analysts also highlighted Costa Rica’s potential to expand its high-tech sector and attract nearshoring investments, further strengthening its role as a differentiated country in the region.
