In its first session of the year, Guatemala’s Monetary Board decided to maintain the Monetary Policy Leader Interest Rate at 4.50% for February, following a 25 basis point reduction in September and November 2024. The decision was unanimous. Inflation in January 2025 rose to 2.19%, up from 1.70% in December.
