Jamaica reported a JMD 8.4 bln primary surplus for July, down from JMD 13.8 bln a year earlier. From April to July in FY24/25 Jamaica recorded a primary surplus of JMD 21.7 bln(0.7% of GDP), a decrease from JMD34.6 billion (1.1% of GDP) in the same period last year. The overall deficit for the period increased to JMD 34.3 bln (1.1% of GDP) compared to JMD 18.4 bln (0.6% of GDP) previously.
