Dominican Republic

The US is the Dominican Republic’s most significant economic partner, accounting for 85% of remittances, 50% of incoming tourists, and 22% of FDI, based on 2024 data. In trade, 33.7% of the Dominican Republic’s total imports originate from the US, while 15.19% of national exports and 72.64% of free zone exports are directed there. Given this substantial economic and social influence, the Dominican Republic could be impacted, positively or negatively, by the economic policies under President Trump.
