The African Union (AU) and the Chinese Mission to the AU announced plans to deepen cooperation under China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) as it marks its 10th anniversary. The BRI has led to 3,000 cooperation projects and mobilized nearly USD 1 tln in investment across over 150 countries. According to the World Bank, if fully implemented, BRI transport infrastructure is projected to lift millions from poverty and significantly boost global income by 2030.
