South Africa’s inflation rate decreased to 4.6% in July 2024, the lowest in three years, from 5.1% the previous month, nearing the central bank’s target of 4.5%. The core inflation rate, excluding food and energy, fell to a two-year low of 4.3%. Consumer prices increased by 0.4% MoM in July, following a 0.1% rise in June.
