Egypt introduced a new social package worth EGP 200 bln (USD 4 bln) to support groups affected by rising prices. This package includes raising the minimum wage for state employees, increasing pensions, boosting cash support for low-income groups, and providing assistance to farmers. The cost is estimated at EGP 40 bln over the next two months, with wage increases amounting to EGP 85 bln for the next fiscal year.
