Ghana annual inflation rate increased to 42.2% in May, up from 41.2% in the previous month, ending a four-month streak of slowing inflation, mainly driven by a significant acceleration in food prices, although non-food inflation eased slightly. Monthly, consumer prices jumped by 4.8% in May, the highest increase in six months.
