Iran president, Ebrahim Raisi, reiterated threats against Israel on Tuesday during the country’s annual Army Day but avoided criticizing Saudi Arabia as Tehran seeks a compromise with the kingdom. Raisi demanded that the US leave the Mideast, as the country has always protected the Persian Gulf region to secure global energy supplies. The Strait of Hormuz, the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf, sees a fifth of the world’s oil supply pass through it.
