The IMF has approved the sixth review of Jordan’s program supported by the EFF, granting an immediate disbursement of USD 32 mln, bringing the total IMF disbursements to Jordan since the start of 2020 to USD 1.73 bln. The IMF’s approval recognizes Jordan’s successful navigation of recent external shocks and maintenance of macroeconomic stability. The fund forecasts that Jordan’s economy will grow at a rate of 2.6% in 2023 and commends Jordan’s commitment to implementing sound macroeconomic policies.
