Kenya is building a 300 MW geothermal plant to settle a EUR 60 mln loan from Germany. The agreement includes a debt write-off in exchange for constructing the Bogoria-Silale project, which will supply clean energy to the grid and local communities. Geothermal energy currently provides 44% of Kenya’s electricity.
