The IMF concluded its visit to Kenya, where officials and Kenyan authorities reached an understanding not to proceed with the ninth and final review of its USD 3.6 bln program. The IMF received a formal request from the Kenyan authorities for a new program and will engage with them moving forward. This comes after a March 6-14 visit, which included discussions on Kenya’s financial situation.
