Kenya annual inflation rate fell to a ten-month low of 7.9% in April 2023, dropping from 9.2% in the previous month and beating market expectations of 9.0%, mainly driven by a slower increase in food and transportation prices amid stable gasoline prices. Monthly consumer prices rose by 0.5% in April, compared to a 0.8% increase in the previous month.
