Mauritius

Mauritius announced a hike in gasoline and diesel retail prices for the first time in 17 months, attributing the decision to global pricing trends. As of October 1, gasoline will be priced at 72.10 rupees (USD 1.59) per liter (a 4.9% increase), and gas oil will cost 60 rupees per liter (a 10% surge). Mauritius, a net importer of refined petroleum, had reduced gasoline prices by 5.10 rupees in June.
