Mozambique’s public debt-to-GDP ratio has decreased to 76% since 2016 but remains above the 60% sustainability threshold recommended for low-income countries. The government report highlighted concerns about the weight of domestic debt servicing, which is expected to account for about 65% of total debt servicing in 2025.
