Mozambique’s ruling-party candidate, Daniel Chapo, was declared the winner of the presidential election with 70.67% of the vote, securing 195 of 250 parliamentary seats. Opposition candidate Mondlane, who received 20.32%, rejected the results, calling for a national shutdown over alleged fraud.
