Mozambique’s Constitutional Council received death threats while considering the validation of the disputed election results that triggered deadly protests. The threats were issued via private messages and social media. The unrest has caused border closures, and port suspensions, and raised concerns over delays in a USD 20 bln liquefied natural gas project by TotalEnergies.
