The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has recently acknowledged Mozambique’s significant progress in preventing and combating money laundering and terrorism financing since its addition to the grey list in October 2022. Mozambique’s YoY inflation slowed to 8.23% in May, with the food, non-alcoholic beverages, and transport sectors seeing the highest annual increases. There was a 0.39% deflation in May, reducing the year-to-date cumulative inflation from 3.58% in April to 3.16% in May.
