Senegal and Mauritania are progressing toward gas production by opening the first well in the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim field. The field, jointly developed by BP, Kosmos Energy, SMH, and Petersen, aims to produce 2.5 mln tonnes of LNG annually, with production now slated for this year.
