The IMF’s executive board will discuss Senegal’s frozen loans in January after a state audit revealed larger-than-expected public debt and deficits. Disbursements of the USD 1.8 bln in IMF loans agreed in 2023 have been paused until the review is completed. The date for the board meeting has not yet been set.
