South African and Chinese companies finalized trade deals worth USD 2.19 bln during a visit by China’s commerce minister, Wang Wentao. South Africa’s trade with China stood at USD 56.3 bln, with exports to China accounting for USD 32.5 bln. The Chinese investment in South Africa approximates USD 11 bln in sectors such as mining and manufacturing.
